What It Actually Takes to Run Medical Support at a Festival Crowd in Gurugram

Large gatherings are not medically dramatic — they are medically predictable. Planning cover for a temple festival, a marathon or a corporate event follows the same logic every time.

    The Kit That Matters

    • Oxygen cylinders with masks and a working regulator
    • Nebuliser for asthma flare-ups
    • Glucometer with plenty of strips — fasting crowds mean low sugars
    • BP apparatus and pulse oximeters at every desk
    • ECG for any chest pain in an adult over 40
    • Dressing material, splints, ORS and IV fluids
    • A stretcher and a clear, rehearsed route to the ambulance

    The Plan That Matters More

    • Staff rotation — a paramedic 14 hours into a shift misses things
    • A named escalation hospital and a doctor there who knows you are coming
    • A crowd-flow route for the stretcher, agreed with event volunteers beforehand
    • Visible signage so a devotee in trouble finds you in seconds
    • A single point of contact on the organiser's side

    What Gets Treated Most

Dehydration, giddiness, fasting hypoglycaemia, minor injuries, asthma and acidity — in that order. Serious cardiac and neurological events are rare but are the reason the ambulance sits there all day.

Aarvak Diagnostics runs event medical cover alongside our pathology and radiology services — including Janmashtami 2026 at ISKCON Gurugram on 4th September.
